Hmmmmm....

Let's see...Have I mentioned how much I'm sick of rain? It has rained all week long. ~Anyways~ Friday morning, I got up and showered and then got the kids up and ready then off we went. To where you ask? Well let me tell you.. YARD SALES!!!! YEAH, YIPPEE! I love to yard sale. I found Aleah some really cute summer dresses and at the very last yard sale I found her a toddler bed with mattress and all for so cheap. We yard saled until about 2pm., then homebound we were. We got home and I put the kids down for a nap and I laid down with them for a bit. Later that evening I cooked some chili for chili dogs. Then all four of us went to the mall and got Isaac some jeans on sale at Old Navy. Thanks to my mom and grandma. They sent the kids some new clothes and movies. They were so excited. They just sent money for Isaac's jeans so I could try them on him. Then we went to Walmart. We went by and rented "Facing the Giants" on our way home. Dustin and I put the kids to bed and then we watched it. I LOVED it!!! I know, you cant believe we just now watched it, but Dustin is not a movie watcher at ALL! So, trying to get him to watch it with me has been crazy. But he really liked it too.
Saturday we got up and got ready and went to the church and put up signs telling our name and times. Then we went to the Walmart by the church looking for some cars in the "CARS" collection, that our Walmart didnt have. Isaac had been saving his money and wanted to by some. We then came home and put the kids down for a nap and while Dus was studying, I took a nap with the kids. Aaaaaaaaaaaa! It was great. I got up from our nap and made hamburgers and chili cheese fries for supper. Then off we went again. We went back to Walmart, Yes we must love the place as often as we go. I found Aleah some white sandals and bought stuff for baked beans for Sunday. Home Again, Home Again, jigity jig.
Sunday morning I got up and cooked baked beans, got out church clothes and cooked breakfast burritos again this Sunday. We got ready for church and off to church we went. We had a great service. After church, all of us, went to Sis. Karens' house for a cookout or cookin, which ever you call it because it rained. We did have our hamburgers and hot dogs grilled on the grill even though it was raining so I guess it would still be called a cookout.hehe....
The food was great!!! As well as the fellowship. Yes, Mom #2, I made your infamous baked beans , but that doesnt let you off the hook when I come down. Br. Kelly left around 6:30pm and Sis. Karen, Sis. Dodie,Dustin and I played Sequence until 8:30pm. It was so much fun, but I must say Sis. Karen and I won both games. ~grin~ We came home and nothing else exciting happened. Until next time!!

Sounds like you had a fun packed weekend. I just bought Sequence from the thrift store and I can't wait to play it. It was lots of fun at Ladie's retreats. Of course games are always more fun when you are with a group of giggling girls at one in the morning hopped up on sugar.

You and I must be on the same wavelength... I, too, blogged about being sick of rain! I also went yard selling this weekend (forgot to mention in my blog) and got Ashton some cute stuff. Gramma, LeAnndra, and I went. We missed you! Love you!

Loved the jiggity-jig thing....made me laugh which reminds me......I got tickled in church again last night during Aaron's testimony. Ashton is into copying and Aaron was holding him and he straightened his tye and then Ashton moved the tye then Aaron straightened it again and so on and I got tickled and had to leave the room I think that our overseer wanted to send me home. you know how I am when I'm tired and nervous...lol I bet you couldn't guess its Gram.

Sounds like things are going well in the 'Springs! Next time you plan another cook-out at Karen's house be sure to let us know. Maybe we can arrange a "church visit." ;-) Did Alan bbq any chicken? He grills the BEST chicken in the world!
